Gas and electric cookers

Article Abstract:

The UK electric and gas cooker market is predicted to rise in value from 740 million pounds sterling in 1999 to 861 million pounds sterling by 2003. The overall price of cookers will continue to fall, although a rise in the number of single households and increased spending on new kitchens will maintain sales. The most profitable sector of the market is free-standing gas cookers, which account for 263 million pounds sterling of the total market in 1999.
