At a time when America is in the hands of a pro-business, anti-environment president, US business schools are experiencing a rising demand for courses in corporate social responsibility (CSR). An increasing number of business students are determined to use their business knowledge and experience to help preserve the environment and increase social responsibility.

Affirmative action has been challenged in courts and policy-making. In the field of higher education, the policy was successful in bringing more minorities to colleges and universities, but court decisions make the rules and regulations confusing for administrators.
