Article Abstract:

The Tiananmen Square massacre of democratic advocates did not wreak havoc on US-China relations. If anything, the incident gave cause for both nations to reexamine their mutual importance to each other. The ties between the two nations have been proven vital economically and technologically.

The coming conflict: China and America

Several American experts regard China as an emerging powerful nonideological and politically freer nation that can possibly rival the US. America's foreign policy should address the need to check China's global ambitions for international power, hence, the presence of tension is inevitable.
