Continued Popularity with Educators Enjoyed by Tandy Computers and Software

Article Abstract:

Radio Shack's Education Division has been committed to provide up-to-date services to the classroom since the late 1970s. The Division recently mailed a packet of coupons and current information to educators around the country. Tandy offers full support, including an on-line hotline, demonstrations, workshops and other services. Since 1982 Tandy has donated more than $990,000 worth of equipment to schools. In 1984 it co-sponsored the National Conference on Technology and Education.

High Standards for Software Selection

Article Abstract:

Most educational software does not contain the components of sound educational practice. Quality software must combine the strategies and techniques of master teachers with the interactive capabilities of computers. Eleven criteria for sound educational software are listed.
