Dark episodes and scar tissue on the psyche

Article Abstract:

New research has revealed that memory can be recovered via therapy. A survey of 108 therapists and a total of 700 patients produced details of 236 cases. Some 40% of the detailed memory recovery cases were supported by evidence, often from multiple sources. The research was carried out by the British Psychological Society's Working Group on Recovered Memories, and was financed by the Economic and Social Research Council.
