Jim Knight urges teachers to humanize the classroom

Article Abstract:

Teachers are urged to develop a deeper relationship with their students and learn more about them since this manner will encourage students and boost their self-esteem. Such approach will then help them achieve their highest potential in classroom. In addition, teachers are encouraged to avoid gender discrimination since it hinders effective learning among students. This was revealed by a former agriculture teacher who is now a consultant on sex equity issues. He holds workshops aimed at improving vocational education and promoting effective learning.

Now, in the 1990's, VEEC faces the challenge of meeting the changing needs of students and of vocational education itself.
