When teachers are the students: take a walk on the wild side

Article Abstract:

Outward Bound is an institution that helps teachers improve their teaching skills by making them participate in challenging tasks such as rock-climbing, canoeing and surfing. An encounter with nature helps bring out the unrealized potential of an individual and teaches the participants fortitude, courage and the value of team work. Some of the suggestions given to improve teaching skills include the cultivation of a sense of team work in the class and encouraging students to solve problems through group effort, presenting lessons that are practical and recognizing the potential of each student.
