The development of an early childhood teacher research collaborative

Article Abstract:

Young children's understanding of and relationships to their communities and the natural world are investigated. It is observed that children's interactions with the natural world reflect an intellectual curiosity that even a methodical educational environment fails to evoke and they also develop a sense of community membership and civic engagement in the process.
