Saddam Hussein's city of the damned

Article Abstract:

The city of Halabja, Northeast Iraq, was attacked by Saddam Hussein because the people had shown some sympathy towards Iran during the conflict between the two countries. The city contained around 80,000 Kurdish people. Chemical bombs were dropped on the city in March 1998. The United Nations should discover which countries sold chemicals to Iraq. It must ensure sanctions remain in place and give medical help to the people of Halabja. The chemicals dropped on the city caused the immediate death of 5,000 people and cancers, blindness and skin diseases in many others.

Men without a mission make poor soldiers

Article Abstract:

Issues relating to the apparently inevitable impending war in Iraq are examined from the viewpoint that soldiers need to believe that to launch a war is the right to do if they are to have the required level of conviction in order to be able to fight effectively and avoid conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder.
