Solo crusade to bring justice to generals of the killing fields

Article Abstract:

Human rights activist and academic, Stephen Heder has published his research on mass murders in Cambodia, 'Seven Candidates for Prosecution: Accountability for the Crimes of the Khmer Rouge'. Since 1973, Heder has been working to identify and find the leaders of the bloody regime responsible for 2 million Cambodian deaths in its infamous 'killing fields'. Given well supported proof of the men's identities through its own archived correspondence, it remains to be seen if the Cambodian government will prordecute these individuals, some of whom are still living in the country.
