Teachers' helpers: a resource guide to materials centers

Article Abstract:

The instructional material available to teachers go beyond audiovisual equipment, teacher guides, and student handouts, and are designed to facilitate the process of effective learning. The selection of appropriate material depends on the availability of time and the facilities in the school. The school budget for purchasing these materials also needs consideration. Networking with fellow teachers and a computer search of the databases of several material centers, such as libraries and the Education Resource Information Center, are also helpful.
