The English translation

Article Abstract:

Technical and vocational education in the UK is a result of technological advances and fierce international competition. The students who qualify in the general certificate of secondary education exam can pursue further education, while the rest join vocational courses. The educational system limits students' mobility by making them decide their careers early in their education. Despite the scholastic components, vocational education is not recognized by universities. Health care careers have a low status in the UK, and professionals are not paid well.

Kleinwort Benson's new underwritten enhanced scrip dividend alternative (Uesda) is a tax-driven instrument which could prove attractive to acquisitive UK companies. It is most suitable for those with an existing or potential Advance Corporation Tax (ACT) problem, which want to make an issue of ordinary shares to fund the purchase and are due to pay a dividend. It was devised to help fund the $1.71 billion tender offer by Cadbury Schweppes for Dr Pepper.
