Article Abstract:

A national debate should be held in the UK in order to decide what can be done to help people save for higher and further education in the future, according a report produced by the Saving for Learning research project which was commissioned by the Learning and Skills Development Agency. The report notes that a cultural shift has occurred in the UK, with students, parents and employers increasingly expected to contribute financially towards post-school education, however, the report also points out that the ways in which people can save for learning are limited.
