Urban school achievement gap as a metaphor to conceal U.S. apartheid education

The urban education is analyzed by using the metaphor of achievement gap which works on the historical analysis. This study provides an analytical framework and practical approaches to the educators to improve urban education.

Who benefits from failing urban schools?

The reasons for failures in school are critically analyzed with respect to the socioeconomic status of the children. The strategies of urban schools to prevent academic failures are studied.
