Alpine builds up image, expands distribution, promotes high-end lineup

Article Abstract:

Alpine Electronics Inc is raising its product image and expanding its distribution channels to increase sales of car audio-video (A/V) products. The company aims to maintain its strength in medium-range to high-end products. According to Kozaburo Umeda, Managing Dir of Alpine's Marketing and Sales, it is essential to introduce attractive products with high levels of sophistication, based on quality, performance and cost. Alpine will offer the same product lineup in Europe as in the US as well as establish distribution channels in China and enter the Southeast Asian aftermarket.

Silicon audio sizzles: music fans clamor for semiconductor audio

Article Abstract:

Silicon audio players, or semiconductor audio players, use semiconductor parts combined with advanced digital compression schemes. Users can download songs from the Internet or other digital sources and replay them using the players. The equipment is available as compact, lightweight portable equipment and does not use a mechanical drive. Therefore, it is extremely resistant to vibrations. Its other features include random access resulting from the digital format.

Clamor for 'Tunes for the Road' fuels latest car A/V releases

Article Abstract:

The increasing demand for automobile audio-video entertainment devices has forced manufacturers to increase the pace of development for new products. The latest releases include four 1-DIN models of the Carrozzeria car audio sytem from Pioneer Corp that feature 45W by four-channel MOSFET amplifiers. Hitachi Ltd is also unveiling a system that features a technology that uses microwave bands for an enhanced communication control system.
