Kenwood Corp has launched its latest lines of MiniDiscs (MD) stereo component systems, MD recorders and portable CD players. The SE-5MD and the SE-5X minicomponent CD systems offer automatic-reverse cassette deck, an MD recorder, a CD player, an AM/FM tuner and an amplifier. The DMF-7000 series of MiniDisc recorders features acoustic transform adaptive coding encoding for fine-quality audio reproduction. The DPC-797 portable CD player features a Super Digital Anti-Shock Circuit to prevent sound skips.

Clarion Company Ltd has unveiled its ADDZEST car audio series. The line of audio equipment includes 20 models of speakers, subwoofers and power amplifiers. The two-way speakers adopt in-phase coaxial speaker systems with dual concentric designs while the power amplifiers are capable of eliminating noise or energy loss resulting from resonance. The subwoofers, on the other hand, provide stereophonic sound.
