CMC Magnetics kicks multimedia plans into gear with MP3 player

Article Abstract:

CMC Magnetics Corp's unveiling of its MP3 Walker amd MP3 Jumper audio players is part of the company's overall plan to emerge as one of the world's top maker of multimedia products and equipment. The company, which has moved to new headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, has likewise released a number of Internet-based products and services. CMC Magnetics' release of the audio players is in line with the belief that audio equipment conforming to MPEG Audio Layer 3 will be one of the fastest growing sector in the consumer electronics, computer and communications fields.

SD-1200 DVD player by Toshiba

Article Abstract:

Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Toshiba Corp has introduced a low-end SD-1200 DVD player. The product is equipped with a sound digital- analog converter that supports a dynamic range of of 105dB for Digital Audio Discs and provides total harmonic distortion factor of 0.002%. In addition, Toshiba's SD-1200 DVD player has a built-in encoder with a Super Sub ALias Filter that expands the player's video frequency characteristics and reduces outband noises.

CMX-5000 twin CD player by Pioneer

Article Abstract:

Pioneer Corp has launched its CMX-5000 twin CD player that features an automatic mixed play function. The debuting audio equipment has been designed to automatically detect music tempo or phrase break to permit smooth mixing for disc jockeys. In addition, Pioneer's CMX-5000 has a 4x- speed CD drive that is capable of reading music in advance and detect a starting point and an ending point, thereby making music mixing in a single CD possible.
