HDR9126, HDR2084 microspeakers
Article Abstract:
Hosiden Corp has unveiled the HDR9126 and the HDR2084 microspeakers with 70db output sound pressure levels. The HDR9126 has a diameter of 16mm, a thickness of 2.55mm, and weighs 0.95g. It has a resonance frequency of 68O Hz. On the other hand, the HDR2084 has a diameter of 20mm and a resonance frequency of 400 Hz. Hosiden also introduced the HBH0090 stereo earphone microphone that comes with a switch for mobile phones. The HBH0090 allows users to receive calls when the microphone switch is pressed.

DMD-M50 MiniDisc recorder

Nippon Columbia Co Ltd introduces its DMD-M50 MiniDisc (MD) recorder that features an MD long play (MDLP) function and can record up to 5 hrs and 20 min in LP4 mode on an 80-min MD. In LP2 mode, the product can record and play for 2 hrs and 40 min. Also, the unit can use MDLP recording and conventional recording on the same disc. Its editing function includes a program-move function that allows users to transfer more than one piece of music through a single operation. DMD-M50 costs $436.

CR-AS36 AM/FM radios
Article Abstract:
Aiwa Company Ltd of Japan has introduced the CR-AS36 portable AM/FM radio in 1999. The radio has a built-in stereo speaker system and can capture TV channels 1 to 3 in Japan. Its other features include a belt hanger, an analog tuning system, large operation switches, an on-off switchable super bass system. It measures 25 mm x 62 mm x 108 mm and weighs about 104 grams. It sells for $33.
