Worldwide spending of tweens, preadolescents between the ages of 8 and 12, is around $170 billion, and this demographic has more access to income and has greater impact on a family's purchasing activities. The consumer electronics industry is target ing thi s large demographic with strong buying powers, and their marketing efforts are described.
