JVC sees 10% rise in sales of CCTV camera systems

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd (JVC) expects a 10% increase in the sales of CCTV camera systems in 2000. JVC adds that higher demand is due to the extended lineup of network cameras as well as bigger sales to game centers. The company also notes that camera systems with alarm and night surveillance functions have enjoyed brisk sales. JVC is selling network cameras and network encoders and plans to include dome cameras and wide- dynamic-range cameras to its product line.

Sony gears up for CCTV monitoring systems in 2000

Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Sony Corp intends to strengthen its business for closed-circuit television monitoring systems in 2000. To accomplish this, the company will enhance the product's recording and archive functions and improve network capabilities, including remote monitoring. Sony'move was prompted by market's demand for more comprehensive systems rather than standalone products.

Sony strengthens business for CCTV camera systems

Sony Corp of Tokyo, Japan, is strengthening its closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera business for FY 1999. The company has already enhanced its CCTV equipment lineup, with the introduction of its surveillance disc recorder in mid-Feb 1999. It is also attempting to boost CCTV system sales by adding exclusive sales channels for its security and audio-video products.
