As seven of the 43 metro markets reside in the Mid-South region, many national and regional retailers have a good presence here. The CE market is strong and Best Buy has the highest store count of 68 while Circuit City is second with 62 stores. The population and the demographics of the Mid-South region are statistically presented.

High definition DVD on the horizon

Article Abstract:

The DVDEs that we use today are unable to utilize the full functionality of HDTV. The image displayed by HDTV is sharper and wider, more like a movie screen than a TV. The industry is working towards developing such HD-capable DVD.
