Clarion Co Ltd's latest products for car navigation systems, which are part of the Addzest series, have DVD or CD-ROM technology and support Japan's i-mode system. All in all, the company is adding seven DVD-based navigation systems, four CD-ROM based navigation systems and an optical beacon for the Vehicle Information and Communications System. Prices are $1,633 for the NAX960DVD, $2,596 for the NAX960DVD, which includes multiple access, and $3,101 for the NVC960DVD.

With the capabilities to store data about bank ATMs, post offices, business hours and available parking spaces, the products boast of a normal map on the left portion of the screen and three-dimensional graphic map displays that feature realistic scenery on the right side of the screen.
