NEC eyes public, private sectors for digital network security systems

Article Abstract:

NEC Corp is launching its proprietary technology to its niche markets in the public sector as well as in the private sector to solidify its position in these markets. Its strategy consists of intensifying product development, marketing and maintenance services for its closed-circuit TV security cameras. The company registered modest growth in the second half of 1999 due to its strong foothold in the market sectors for public corporations and local government offices. It plans to expand its business for CCTV camera systems by reinforcing the sales system and improving system integration.
