Sharp's VC-V1 Hi-Fi, VS1 S-VHS video decks

Article Abstract:

Sharp Corp has introduced the VC-V1 Hi-Fi video deck and the VS1 S-VHS video deck that have one-third the footprint of other models. Both models have controllers for making G-code timer recording settings as well as two audiovisual I/O terminals. The VS1 has a digital gamma circuit for making dark picture segments brighter and a D1 image output terminal for recording and reproducing in the 4x mode. Both models have protection against lightning surge and consume only 0.6W in the stand-by mode.

SSP-HP7 digital memory player

Article Abstract:

Sanyo Electric Company Ltd introduces the $343 SSP-HP7 that integrates a digital memory player with a 3.5mW +3.5mW headphone. The product uses a code system compatible with multiple compression methods, and will support future compression methods. The players works with Multimedia cards and runs on Windows98, Windows 2000 and Macintosh platforms. Two AAA batteries power the player for about 10 hours of operation.

Sharp applies memory stick to headband-style headphone player

Article Abstract:

Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Sharp Corp has unveiled its headband-style WA-HP1 headphone player designed with removable MG Stick that allows it to record 60 to 120 minutes of music. The player is also capable of capturing Wave and MP3 audio files through its accompanying Universal Serial Bus and Open MG Jukebox software. Sharp's WA-HP1 headphone player retails for 48,000 yen.
