SY-VM1 background music generators

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Ltd has launched the SY-VM1 background music generator which allows users to cmpose video-matched background music. The product worrks from a base of 128 copyright-free tunes and can create more than 192,000 different kinds of background music. Any background music that the SY-VM1 creates can be converted into digital audio files in a Windows-standard file format. The product retails for 79,800 yen.

Teac pushes for double-digit share of CD-R/RW market outside Japan

Article Abstract:

Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Teac Corp intends to control more than 10% of the global market for audio recorders of recordable compact discs (CD-Rs) and rewritable compact discs (CD-RWs) in 2000. To accomplish this, the company has launched three CD-R and CD-RW decks. These products may appear expensive but Teac can assure consumers of the products' superior performance and quality.
