Onkyo positions digital A/V center to make big noise in global market

Article Abstract:

Onkyo Corp, Japan, has introduced its new TX-DS575 digital audio-video (A/V) center to the global market that feature codecs for the Digital Theater System and Dolby Digital system. The company will ship 30,000 of these A/V centers worldwide each month. The TX-DS575 incorporates DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby ProLogic decoders. It carries one optical, two coaxial digital and seven analog inputs. The product also offers a 5.1- channel analog input and integrates a 24-bit, 96kHz-compatible digital- analog converter.

Onkyo Corp unveils the TX-DS575 digital audio-video center that incorporates codecs for Dolby Digital systems and the Digital Theater System. The product features seven analog, one optical and two coaxial digital inputs. A unique design with minimal reliance on the negative feedback circuit allows the generation of a wide range of sounds. Offering 130W per channel, the product achieves frequency properties from 20Hz to 100kHz.

With solid reputation in audio market, Onkyo enters video scene

Article Abstract:

Onkyo Corp has launched its latest lineups of audio-video receivers and other video equipment. Among its latest products are the AV-555 and AV-656 audio/receivers, the Phantom Cinema one-box theater system with Surround sound technology and the Mini-Disc based Life Style Audio System. Onkyo is planning to expand its product lineups to include DVD players and home theater systems based on the Virtual Sound technology.
