Power meets demand

Article Abstract:

Better performing dry cell batteries that can power high-drain digital electronics longer were unveiled at the 2000 Photo Marketing Assn Show. Panasonic introduced Alkaline for Digital batteries, which provide longer life than regular alkaline batteries, while Energizer launched its e2 line of disposable batteries. Kodak, on the other hand, unveiled its PhotoLife Ni-MH batteries designed for mini digital cameras and other electronic devices such as voice recorders.

New lines of multifunction peripherals are introduced by manufacturers into the market. Among the new products are Panasonic's KX-FLM600 multifunction machine which functions as stand alone fax, PC fax, copier, scanner, laser printer and telephone; Sharp Electronics' FFO-2550CM 600 dpi color printer, color scanner, color copier, PC fax and phone, and Brother's MFC-P200 multifunction laser printer.

PMA focuses on megapixel+

Article Abstract:

Digital camera makers have launched their latest products that feature mexapixels. Olympus introduced the C-2000 2.1 that features a 2.1 megapixel with a 3x optical zoom, while Ricoh launched its RDC-5000 with 2.3 megapixels, a 2.3 optical zoom, 1.6-inch macro feature, one image-per-second continuous shooting and a time lapse feature. Other new entries include Nixon's Coolpix 950 and 970, Fujifilm's MX-2700, Konica'S QM200, Agfa's ePhoto CL50 and Epson's model 750Z.
