A broadband experiment: DSL at retail

Article Abstract:

Bell Atlantic Corp has started selling internal ADSL models manufactured by 3Com Corp in Nov 1999. Bell Atlantic, which has also began marketing its own Internet service, requires the purchase of the ADSL kit from selected CompUSA and Staples stores as a precondition to its service. The Internet service, which can be activated within seven days after calling Bell Atlantic, is available for $49.95 per month.

PC video cameras now faster, affordable

Article Abstract:

Manufacturers of PC video peripherals have launched their latest product lines. Logitech is offering its QuickCam Express, one the lowest-priced PC cameras. Ezoncis has introduced its EZCam Pro which offers a 640 x 480 resolution and comes with a bundle nine software titles, while Intel has launched models, the PC Camera Pack and the Intel Create & Share Camera Pack. Other new products are Xirlink's C-it Mobile video camera with a 704 x 576 resolution for still images, Compro's PS39U with video capture speed of 60 frames per second and Philips Electronics' PCA646VC.

Photo printers have picture perfect goals

Article Abstract:

A variety of printers that produce quality pictures and inages are available in the market. These printers print photographs using either the thermal-dye sublimation (dye-sub) or inkjet process. Photo printers sold in the market today include Kodak Personal Picture Maker from Kodak and Lexmark; Epson's Stylus Photo 750; Canon BJC-8200; PhotoSmart P1000 and P1100 from Hewlett-Packard; Acer's FotoPrisa 300P; and Polaroid's PhotoMax Web printer.
