SREV1 sampling reverberator

Article Abstract:

Yamaha Corp introduces its SREV1 sampling reverberator that features the firm's Convolution technology, also called Convolver technology. The SREV1, which is priced at $4,545, is intended to replicate the reverberations of real-world spaces such as the finest concert halls in the world. Featuring twice the signal processing capabilities of YDAP1, which the company launched in 1992, the SREV1 can provide a four-channel mode wherein sound-field reproduction is possible under Surround production conditions.

HDW-M2100 HDCAM Digital Videocassette player

Article Abstract:

Sony Corp introduces its HDW-M2100 HDCAM Digital Videocassette player that is capable of replaying tapes recorded in HDCAM, Digital Betacam, Beta Cam SX, MPEG IMX, and Betacam/SP standards. It features an up/down converter that allows the use of conventional format definition materials to produce HD programs. Also, the company offers the $50,000-HDW-2000 HDCAM Digital Videocassette recorder and the $59,090-HDW-M2000 HDCAM Digital Videocassette recorder as well as the HDW-750 HDCAM camcorder.

MX-MD555 3-disc MD stereos

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd has released its new MX-MD555 compact component stereo system in the market. The product combines a three- compact disc (CD) changer with a three-disc slideup changer for MiniDiscs for sophisticated editing functions. One-touch controls permit a variety of recording modes, including the 'Best Hit Record' mode, which can dub the first track from each of three CDs onto a MiniDisc. The 'Triple Record' dubs three CDs onto three MDs. There is also a 'Long Record' mode.
