TV or Not TV? Yes, Say Aggressive Hi Fi Dealers: Appliances in the Wings

Article Abstract:

Aggressive independent audio dealers are starting to merchandise television sets. Selling TVs presents a space problem to the smaller audio stores. Buying a large selection of TVs at a good price is important to dealers. Some dealers have chosen to deal in video components as opposed to televisions.

Club Stores: Getting Aggressive and Gunning for your Customer

Article Abstract:

A large number of members-only retail stores have sprung up boasting warehouse type outlets. Club stores are the fastest growing area in retailing. In most cases these stores have two customer categories: wholesalers who pay membership fees and group members who normally pay five per cent over tag.

Direct Mail Marketer Adds Computer Stores

Inmac Corporation has been in operation since 1975, selling computer accessories through its direct mail catalog. The company, which had a catalog circulation of ten million in 1983, is opening its distribution to computer dealers. Inmac expects to reach more home users through computer dealers.
