The national non-profit organization called Electric Council for the Economy (ECE) is mainly responsible for the growing awareness in electrotechnologies. ECE has been communicating with different groups in the government to promote the benefits of electrotechnologies.

The power plant: a spread option?

Article Abstract:

A novel approach in determining the standard spread option of power plants was developed in order to address the weaknesses of conventional valuation models. The proposed method draws a correlation between power and fuel prices while taking account of regional options.

An option to beat the system, and stay competitive

Repowering existing plants is an increasingly popular option for utilities. Market forces and state public service commission requirements combine to demand lower-cost generation of new power. Repowering can restore the older, least efficient sites to competitiveness.
