OSI Management and Job Transfer Services

Article Abstract:

The Application and Systems Management and Job Transfer and Manipulation sections of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model deal with distributed processing activities. The OSI Management Framework provides a basis for developing standards of OSI management. Job processing in distributed systems is facilitated through the services and protocols of Job Transfer and Manipulation. Activity in this area of management and job transfer services should increase because of increases in interest. A discourse-type diagram of the OSI Management Model is given along with a job activity diagram.

On the Measurement of Voltage Transfer Functions

Article Abstract:

Equipment which measures transmission and reflection properties of active and passive two-port networks can be used to determine driving point and transfer functions. The network must meet certain conditions for accurate measurement of the functions. A diagram illustrating the technique and application to a bandpass network is given.
