Evan Davis, presenter of BBC2's popular Dragon's Den series explained the concept of the show. He states that the show tries to educate viewers in the art of seeking funds for new products or inventions with the basic format of the series involving five panelists who would listen to presentations from individuals and then decide which products or ideas were worth investing in.

Stopping power loss on standby

Article Abstract:

Electrical equipments in German households and offices consume 18 billion kilowatt-hours in standby mode. Technological solutions to reduce the waste of electrical energy could include means to cut power off if there is no interaction with the machine for a specified period of time or an LED sign, which indicates the actual consumption of power in standby mode.

Buying local, selling global

Local suppliers have failed in selling products because of the global selling through telesales and websites, which are considered to be the cheap alternatives. In order to have a first class support from local suppliers, it is essential to have face-to-face regular meetings to develop a better supplier-buyer relationship.
