Air cooling is cheaper by design

Article Abstract:

CompAir BroomWade's new air-cooled compressor avoids all the disadvantages of water-cooled technology. The design does not have to include pipes and radiators, there is no need to add antifreeze, and it does not have problems associated with leaking water. It is suitable for applications where the presence of oil is undesirable, and it does not have the environmental disadvantage of condensate water containing oil. CompAir BroomWade has paid careful design attention to reducing fan noise, and it has reduced the cost to below the price of water-cooled compressors.

Remote repair keeps PCs on track: a new technique for remotely monitoring and rectifying PCs is a great leap forward in terms of improved maintenance of electronic controls

Article Abstract:

Hardware Management Support, a Reading-based specialist electronics company, has developed the MicroGuard diagnostic board for personal computers that will remotely monitor a wide range of problems. The new board has its own processor, enabling it to continue running even if the rest of the machine fails. MicroGuard will be able to correct many typical hard disk problems that have traditionally needed engineer interventions.
