Buying behavior and product planning

Article Abstract:

A Danish manufacturer of high quality measurement microphones developed a special studio microphone following inquiries about such a product from various professional recording studios. The firm decided to produce the microphone based on its expected profitability and ease of integration into the current product line. The product did not enjoy sustained sales because no R&D on buying behavior accompanied product development.

Bottled sound is the ultimate power source

Article Abstract:

Macrosonix has developed a technique dubbed Resonant Macrosonic Synthesis (RMS) which enables the generation of energy via the creation of sound waves in a closed resonator. Potential applications include clean electric power, hybrid electric vehicles, and on-site power on demand. The innovative shape of the resonator enables the wave to be controlled and avoids shock-wave formation.

Ideal sound created by designing out joins

Article Abstract:

Turbosound's new range of loudspeakers features enclosure designs supplied by Indes Design. These are designed to both improve performance and reduce costs. They have no parallel internal walls, and instead feature an internal structure made from recycled polyethylene mixed with a temperature-sensitive blowing agent. This allows for improved acoustic absorption.
