Be informed about product liability

Article Abstract:

Quality professionals and engineers can benefit greatly from attending the many product liability defense seminars offered by leading legal research schools and universities. These courses are becoming increasingly relevant, in view of the rapid increase in product liability suits in the US and the growing involvement of quality executives in product liability investigations and defense activities. Typically, these seminars introduce quality executives to legal processes, teach them how to improve product safety and reliability and explain how product liability laws operate in various states.

Do temporary workers reduce the quality of the company?

Article Abstract:

American companies are hiring an increasing number of temporary workers and, without proper management, this can be not only expensive but also may result in a decline in quality. There has been a 240% increase in the number of people with temporary employment services over a 10 year period and one such service, Manpower, has adopted a 'Putting Quality to Work' program of its own. However, the managers of employing companies must realize that temporary employees need guidance and development, as do permanent employees.
