Collaboration, cooperation, and celebration

Article Abstract:

Companies benefit much through cooperation rather than stiff competition. A number of manufacturers have found out that establishing a harmonious relationship with customers, suppliers and competitors is instrumental to their success. Furthermore, participation of the workers in company management is also crucial to the survival of the organization. Innovative ideas often come from personnel who are encouraged by management to give constructive suggestions. Implementation of proposed projects costs less than conventional office procedures that are counterproductive.

Getting the most from an over-the-hill body

Article Abstract:

Total quality management principles can play a useful role in preparations for a decathlon competition, particularly for those entering at masters (over 40) age group level. These principles, such as long-term thinking, statistical analysis and feedback, allow the athlete to proceed in a steady, controlled way towards a specific goal. Planning for a decathlon competition will involve a macro process, setting an achievable goal, and a micro process, establishing goals for individual events.
