Energy labeling of buildings

Article Abstract:

Government is making efforts to bring legislation for energy certification of buildings in order to reduce energy utilization and reduce carbon monoxide emissions. Many appliances now sport energy consumption labels to make consumers aware of the need to reduce energy consumption and carbon monoxide emissions. The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) will lead to greater investment in energy efficiency measures as it has set minimum energy requirements of buildings, energy certification and regular mandatory inspections of boilers and airconditioning systems.
