Article Abstract:

The need for proper training to reduce the risk of accidents to mechanical and electrical contractors is explained. The national training and assessment scheme for electrical and instrumentation worker, CompEx, was established in 1994 and is recognized nationally as the acceptable standard for people working in the field.
