GE supply's programs provide value-added services

Article Abstract:

Value-added services are increasingly being demanded by consumers. These services include downsizing, outsourcing to third-party supply sources and cost control. Consequently, General Electric Co's GE Supply has come up with its own programs to positively change the relationship between supplier and customer and attend to other issues concerning operations and profitability. Some of the programs include producing a conducive environment for constant improvement of operational procedures, setting up discussion meetings among customers and suppliers and assisting all types of customers at the strategic and tactical levels.
