Harmonizing cable colours

Article Abstract:

UK had decided with European committee for electrical standardization (CENELEC) and IEC to harmonize the cable colors for only flexible cables and not for the non flexible ones. This harmonization process is undertaken throughout Europe where blue denotes the neutral conductor and black or brown denote the phase conductors, but since UK did not participate totally it has become the odd one out.
