Institutional conformity and technology implementation: a process model of ergonomics dissemination

Article Abstract:

Ergonomics implementation within the thirteen plants ofan automobile manufacturing firm involved four stages across the top leadership implementer and worker level of the organization. These four within-level processes are external pressure, enactment, internalization and institutionalization. An over-all process model which incorporates the four stages and the three organizational levels was developed. It describes the key process variables and flow of presence of ergonomics implementation in the plants.

Selecting of a manufacturing process with multiple attributes: a case study

Article Abstract:

The selection of a manufacturing process in a semiconductor manufacturing company was studied using regression analysis to identify the various attributes which directly affect costs. Preferences were ranked according to operational benefits using a distance-based multiple attribute decision making method. Results from both studies were combined and used as the basis for the final recommendation.
