Latin America to strengthen industrial research as spur for region's economic growth

Article Abstract:

Economic litmus test for listed issues

Article Abstract:

Stephen Dorrell, UK heritage secretary, aims to encourage a debate on the conservation of historic buildings and make the process more accountable. English Heritage has provided advice on building conservation for the government, but this monopoly will end with the introduction of consultation. Dorrell also aims to encourage debate on whether 40 buildings constructed after 1945 should be preserved. The government itself owns some historic buildings which have become at risk due to lack of care.
