Lighting up the Andes

Article Abstract:

A Canadian couple, Anthony Harckhams and his wife, went to the Andes to light up the villages in Bolivia using white LEDs, and solar panels. Harckhams have made their mission to free remote communities from reliance on costly kerosene lighting by LEDs, which convert electricity into light relatively efficiently, powered by photovoltaic cells that generates electricity from abundant sunlight.
