London lags behind in millennium plans

Article Abstract:

A report commissioned by the London Arts Board, BT and the London Council for Sport and Recreation has found a general confusion about the funding of London's millennium projects. There has also been dupliction and a dearther of community based proposals. It recommends that local authorities and umbrella organisations should be brought together to co-ordinate projects and funds and that commissioning partners should bring organisations proposing capital development together with professional services.
