Navy hospital fights disease with a quality team

Article Abstract:

The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD, works as a team to fight tuberculosis cases, which have been on the rise in U.S. in the recent years. The disease which is resistant to many drugs is posing a serious health problem. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has defined some guidelines for the prevention and cure. The Infection Control Committee of the NNMC took immediate steps to implement the OSHA guidelines, by identifying problem areas, developing corrective measures and forming departments to face the challenge.

Patients are satisfied with hospital care

Article Abstract:

Quantum Solutions conducted a six-month assessment of the quality of hospital care thatpatients receive. Results indicated that majority of patients are satisfied with the medical service and will most likely avail of the same services in thefuture. The positive evaluations were observed in all kinds of patients. Quantum Solutions Pres Herbert Wong stressed that the results negate the sentiment that some hospitals can get away with just average service.

IRS team recoups billions from nonfilers

Article Abstract:

Membrs of the Austin, TX Internal Revenue Service (IRS) have found a new method of dealing with nonfiler tax cases, incorporating a collection and examination referreral system. The pilot project, which aimed to educate taxpayers, encourage the taxpayer to comply and assess appropriate taxes, averaged $10,000 per return.
