New materials repel oil
Article Abstract:
A new class of materials that can repel oil was developed by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This discovery could be applied to waste cleanup processes and space travel. The material is composed of microfibers designed to overcome the surface-tension problem among oil-repelling materials.
