Opt-out plans revealed

The survey conducted by Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) on the 48- hour working week opt out reveals that a large number of members would accept that operatives should not be asked to sign up an opt out before employment, a one- year time limit and one month notice period for withdrawal from an opt out agreement. Members were not happy with the proposal for risk and health assessments.
