The Socratic method produces enlightened employees

Article Abstract:

The Socratic method of asking leading questions can lower employee resistance to change. Allowing employees to arrive at answers and problem solutions on their own also affords them the chance to learn and apply production and quality concepts. At the Lutron Electronics Company Inc, the headquarters series audit was eliminated in favor of certifying the manufacturing facilities. This has resulted in lower quality testing costs and shorter client lead time.

These foolish things

Article Abstract:

Technology provides methods for the affordable achievement of quality. However, ther are certain fundamentals which should not be overlooked in the enthusiasm for advancing the technique. Eight quality control methods are presented that are taken from the proponents of statistical quality control. Simple-minded and very cautious in nature, these questions and approaches are still very much relevant.
