Optimal solution of a total time distribution problem

Article Abstract:

An algorithm for solving a new facility location problem expressed in terms of a connected graph representing a distribution network consisting of D demand centers, Q supply centers and K items is described. The algorithm derives a distribution route and schedule that minimizes the total delivery time under a predetermined budget restriction. Specifically, it evaluates the supply centers from where each demand center will obtain its required products within predetermined margins.

Inventory allocation and customer travelling problem in spatial duopoly

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze connecting inventory allocation and market area for goods defined by customers' traveling decisions that are influenced by expected shortages of goods. To this end, the customers' travelling problem and customers' behavior were examined in spatial duopoly. In addition, the optimal ordering policy with the optimal shortage of goods for different prices was analyzed.

Inventories in spatial models

Article Abstract:

Analysis of spatial considerations in inventory systems shows that price and shortage of goods significantly affect the market areas of consumers and the consequent sales quantity. Uncertainty in the delivery can cause prices to drop because of the desire by suppliers to maintain their customer base. The price decrease is pegged to the commuting costs of consumers.
